AmpliPrime TM Transport Medium for swabs is intended for transportation and storage of scrapes and discharge of the urogenital mucosa, oropharynx, rectum, as well as mucosal and skin erosions and ulcers, for subsequent testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and other reproductive tract infections by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and nucleic acid sequence-based amplification (NASBA) using appropriate reagent kits recommended by the manufacturer.
