AmpliPrime® BV
AmpliPrime® BV reagent kit is intended for the quantification of Gardnerella vaginalis, Atopobium vaginae, Lactobacillus spp. DNA and the total number of bacteria (Bacteria) in the biological materials (vaginal discharge) by real-time PCR. The ratios of the Lactobacillus spp. DNA concentration, the total number of bacteria and opportunistic microflora (G. vaginalis and A. vaginae) are calculated based on the obtained values, which allows determining the state of the vaginal biotope as part of the diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis, a disease associated with the suppression of normal vaginal microflora (Lactobacillus spp.) and its replacement with opportunistic microflora (including G. vaginalis and A. vaginae).
The use of the kit allows for dynamic monitoring of the state of the vaginal biotope and the efficacy of therapy for bacterial vaginosis.
