AmpliPrime® HSV I/HSV II reagent kit is intended for the detection and quantification of the DNA of herpes simplex viruses I (HSV I) and II (HSV II) in biological materials (scrapes or discharge of the urogenital tract mucosa; (vaginal swabs, epithelial scrapes of the cervical mucosa, epithelial scrapes of the urethral mucosa), rectum, oropharynx, conjunctiva; urine, saliva, prostate secretions, whole blood, cerebrospinal fluid; discharge of vesicular rash and skin and mucosal erosions and ulcers, ejaculate) by real-time PCR.
